Restaurant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at SRA Wainwright Restaurants Ltd. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our staff are well-trained and motivated.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity in the restaurant.
  • Recruit and Supervise Staff: Hire, train, and manage a team of staff to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Train Staff: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure that staff have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
  • Determine Services and Implement Operational Procedures: Decide on the types of services to be offered and develop operational procedures to ensure that they are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Regularly review the performance of staff and provide feedback and coaching to help them improve.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Ensure that inventory is accurately tracked and that stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure Health and Safety Regulations: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed and that the restaurant is a safe and healthy environment for customers and staff.
  • Negotiate with Suppliers: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure that the restaurant receives the best possible products and services.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints and concerns.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with attention to detail.
Work Environment:

The Restaurant Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. The hours of work are 35 hours per week.
