Investment Operations Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve global trade settlement issues for institutional client accounts and pooled funds across multiple countries and currencies.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of global investment transactions and positions, ensuring accuracy and promptly resolving discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, custodians, clients, prime brokers, and fund administrators to resolve complex trade discrepancies and operational issues.
  • Analyze, record, and monitor corporate actions to maintain accurate records of positions and facilitate decisions by portfolio managers.
  • Prepare and distribute daily, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reports to institutional clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of accurate net asset values for our pooled funds by the fund administrator.
  • Support the implementation and testing of new operational systems and technologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
  • Demonstrate an innovative and proactive approach by highlighting inefficiencies, risk, and implementing improvements to streamline our processes.
  • Assist with the implementation of new investment strategies, products, and industry initiatives.
  • Write and maintain accurate procedural documentation.
  • Support the maintenance of regulatory standards and the commitment to ethical practices.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in investment operations within a financial services firm or asset management company.
  • Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to investment operations, custody, clearing, and settlements.
  • Knowledge of the trade lifecycle of global equities.
  • Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and adeptness at problem-solving.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external service providers.
