The Role

The Project Accountant Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the financial progress of projects, providing project management support over the entire project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of project files, contracts, and change orders.
  • Manage project budgets, distributing financial information to evaluate profitability and performance compared to budget.
  • Analyze project variances, suggesting solutions to the Project Management team and preparing variance reports for management.
  • Assist Project Managers with reports and documentation as required.
  • Prepare monthly revenue, gross margin, and cash flow calculations and analysis.
  • Generate invoices for billable projects.
  • Interact with customer accounting team members as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Accounting designation (CPA) or designation in progress.
  • 2-3 years' experience in Project Accounting within a project delivery organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and work knowledge of general accounting software.
