The RoleThe Project Accountant Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the financial progress of projects, providing project management support over the entire project life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate records of project files, contracts, and change orders.
- Manage project budgets, distributing financial information to evaluate profitability and performance compared to budget.
- Analyze project variances, suggesting solutions to the Project Management team and preparing variance reports for management.
- Assist Project Managers with reports and documentation as required.
- Prepare monthly revenue, gross margin, and cash flow calculations and analysis.
- Generate invoices for billable projects.
- Interact with customer accounting team members as necessary.
- Accounting designation (CPA) or designation in progress.
- 2-3 years' experience in Project Accounting within a project delivery organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Able to prioritize tasks and work knowledge of general accounting software.
