Lead Resident Care Specialist

At MacLeod Cares, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Lead Resident Care Specialist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, working collaboratively with our team to ensure their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and plan resident care, implementing and evaluating care plans within the scope of practice for a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Function as a team leader, providing direction and supervision to Resident Care Workers.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless delivery of care, promoting a culture of compassion and respect.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in resident care.

Requirements:

  • Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Practical Nursing Program, including pharmacology, health assessment, and medication administration.
  • Certification in Safe Resident Handling.
