About This Position
We are seeking a professional to join our team as we transition from DevOps to DevSecOps. This transformation involves altering both technology and culture to facilitate a proactive approach to software development, testing, and deployment. Our objective is to empower developers across TD to deliver enhanced value to our colleagues and clients with increased efficiency and confidence in their solutions. We are focused on building capabilities that accelerate the productivity of thousands of software engineers while leading the implementation and adoption of contemporary DevSecOps principles, practices, and pipelines.
As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive end-to-end solutions for our technology partners, ensuring accountability for the technical design and delivery of solutions based on stakeholder requirements. You will develop and maintain technical solutions, adhering to engineering and architectural design principles while fulfilling requirements. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise with an emphasis on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security, particularly in utilizing modern DevSecOps pipelines to enhance developer productivity. Your role will involve planning, evaluating, designing, operationalizing, and supporting solutions in alignment with enterprise and industry standards.
Your contributions will include providing industry-leading expert advice and guiding engineers in developing and adopting next-generation tools, processes, and practices to deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various stakeholders and teams to shape the future DevSecOps landscape across the organization, offering an excellent opportunity to engage with diverse teams and automate pipelines enterprise-wide.
- Lead the development of solution options and comprehensive end-to-end solutions, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to support development initiatives, embracing a 'build it, break it, fix it' philosophy.
- Review technical deliverables throughout the detailed design and development phases to ensure quality compliance and identify any gaps or redesign needs.
- Identify, recommend, source, negotiate, and implement enhancements/solutions (buy/build/reuse) to improve customer experience, availability, and/or reduce costs in alignment with client needs.
- Collaborate with technology partners to establish metrics and performance objectives for the solutions.
- Provide daily technical leadership for one or more scrum teams, offering guidance and proactively addressing issues.
- Work independently and/or autonomously as a senior/lead on a diverse range of tasks and operational support for solutions.
- Act as an expert advisor for technology partner teams, leading engineers in conducting DevSecOps maturity assessments for application teams.
- Offer guidance, mentorship, and training to engineers of all skill levels as they integrate modern DevSecOps practices into their daily workflows.
- Strategize and develop automated pipeline capabilities for application owners to enhance efficiency and security throughout development.
- Enhance the developer experience.
- Foster relationships with other technology/business/corporate/control functions.
- Contribute to the advancement of TD's engineering practices through strong collaboration, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

- A University or Post-Graduate Degree.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or a related field with a strong emphasis on security.
- In-depth knowledge of security tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, SCA), CI/CD systems (especially Jenkins, Github Actions/Workflows), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
- Proficiency in modern programming/scripting languages and container security.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership in projects of moderate to high complexity.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
