Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Supervisor to join our team at our mining facility in Ontario. As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our blasting operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safe work practices and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate blasting operations, including planning, execution, and monitoring of blast activities.
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including safety metrics, production levels, and quality control.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as mining engineering, geology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proven track record of success in managing blasting operations and ensuring safety compliance.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP, with experience in project management and data analysis.
