We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our team as we embark on a transformative journey to enhance our technology and culture. As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will lead the creation of comprehensive end-to-end solutions for our technology partners, with overall accountability for the technical design and delivery of specific solutions based on requirements and needs defined by our stakeholders. You will develop and maintain technical solutions, ensuring adherence to engineering and architectural design principles while meeting requirements.

You will provide technical expertise with a focus on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security, especially relating to the use of modern DevSecOps pipelines to enhance developer effectiveness. You will plan, evaluate, design, operationalize, and support solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry standards.

Ultimately, you will provide industry-leading expert advice and lead the engineers around you in developing and adopting the next generation of tools, processes, and practices to enable the delivery of solutions that delight our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work with various stakeholders and teams to develop the future DevSecOps state across the bank.
  2. Lead the creation of solution options and comprehensive end-to-end solutions and coordinate relevant stakeholders to support development initiatives.
  3. Review technical deliverables throughout detailed design and development phase to ensure quality adherence and identify gaps or redesign requirements as needed.
  4. Identify, recommend, source, negotiate, and implement improvements/solutions to enhance customer experience, availability, and/or reduce cost in support of client needs.
  5. Work with technology partners to define metrics and performance goals for the solutions.
  6. Provide daily technical leadership for one or more scrum teams. Support the team by providing guidance and proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  7. Work independently and/or autonomously as a senior/lead on a diverse range of tasks/operational support of solutions.
  8. Expert advisor for technology partner teams, leading teams of engineers to perform DevSecOps maturity assessments for application teams.
  9. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to engineers of all skill levels as they adopt modern DevSecOps into their daily work.
  10. Strategize and formulate automated pipeline capabilities for application owners to improve efficiency and security through development.
  11. Help improve the developer experience.
  12. Build relationships with other technology/business/corporate/control functions.
  13. Contribute to the advancement of the TD engineering practice through strong collaboration, research, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
  14. Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce.
  15. Participate in personal development activities, including cross-training within own team.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  1. University or Post-Graduate Degree.
  2. 5+ years of relevant experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or a related field with a strong focus on security.
  3. Deep knowledge of security tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, SCA), CI/CD systems (especially Jenkins, Github Actions/Workflows), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
  4. Proficient in modern programming/scripting languages and container security.
  5. Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership in projects of moderate to high complexity.
  6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  7. Ability to work independently under minimal guidance.
