As a Senior Risk Management and Governance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the Governance & Controls division of TD Securities. This division is recognized as a leading entity in the wholesale banking sector, with a global presence across multiple offices.

Team Dynamics:
The Governance and Controls team is a diverse group of professionals dedicated to providing essential infrastructure services that support trading, investment, and corporate banking functions. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a global Governance & Control team to establish and manage effective first-line operational control processes.
- Implement and maintain appropriate mitigating controls while assessing their design and operational effectiveness in a global context.
- Identify and execute strategies to enhance Governance & Business Control capabilities, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
- Act as a subject matter expert in defining and executing Business Governance & Control strategies, ensuring controls remain effective and relevant.
- Serve as a Centre of Excellence, driving governance standards and operational resilience while managing operational risk.
- Develop and present proactive reporting on key risk and control metrics.
- Modernize internal controls and streamline processes to meet evolving regulatory expectations.
- Collaborate with global teams to revise and implement key risk metrics across various regions.
- Establish and document key controls, including monitoring and testing, to ensure compliance with internal regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve Change Risk Assessments for any significant changes impacting operations.
- Stay informed about market developments, regulatory changes, and risks affecting the business.
