Executive Chef - Uptown Grill

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team at Uptown Grill. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing menu strategies, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs to ensure profitability.
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements to meet customer demand.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to exacting standards.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Criminal record check required.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with 37.5-40 hours per week. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a team of experienced professionals.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $50,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
