About the Role

The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled Business Development and Partnerships Officer to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with industry partners and employers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key industry partners and employers
  • Identify and pursue new business development opportunities
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform partnership development
  • Develop and execute event strategies to engage industry partners and employers
  • Track and report on business development initiatives and outcomes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership development
  • Proven track record of success in building client relationships and driving business growth
  • Strong understanding of partnership development life cycle and sales funnel approaches
  • Experience in market research and analysis, and direct sales and relationship development
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in marketing and developing marketing strategies
  • Knowledge of the career services industry and experience working in post-secondary education
