Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing high-level Human Resources concepts and tools, formulating and championing the HR vision, and ensuring deployment of corporate policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement innovative HR concepts and tools to support business growth and development.
  2. Formulate and champion the HR vision and strategies within the overall business plan.
  3. Coach and advise management and employees on personnel activities.
  4. Ensure deployment of corporate policies and procedures.
  5. Develop effective recruitment practices and function as a key player in the recruitment and hiring of staff.
  6. Help to build and maintain employee morale and enable the organization to increase its capacity for change.
  7. Identify legal requirements and government regulations and ensure compliance.
  8. Coordinate corporate organizational development programs.
  9. Manage technical training activities across operations.
  10. Implement controls and metrics to manage costs.
Deliverables
  1. Develop a consistent labour policy across all manufacturing plants.
  2. Prepare and present to the Executive Team an HR strategic plan that clearly identifies key priorities.
  3. Learn the company's business and industry to contextualize HR activities.

Preferred Experience/Education

The following indicates specific industry, academic, and functional experience/qualifications that are important to the successful achievement of the identified responsibilities and performance deliverables:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  2. 5-10 years of broad-based and progressive experience in a general human resources leadership role in industrial environments.
  3. Ability to communicate in French is a definite asset.
  4. Demonstrated success in leading a strategic HR function.
  5. Proven leadership and management skills with knowledge of current industry best practices.
  6. Able to grow the HR function as required and work effectively in a fast-paced culture.
