About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Coordinator Specialist to join our dynamic team at Black & McDonald Limited.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and organized professional to take on a key role in our business development process. As a Bid Coordinator Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and preparing proposal responses to Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) for large and complex Public Private Partnership (P3) and Alternative Financing Procurement (AFP) project pursuits.

Your primary objective will be to work closely with internal stakeholders to understand our operations, project experience, lessons learned, and solutions to challenges encountered on projects. You will then use this information to write impactful and professional content in proposal responses that demonstrate the value of our services and differentiate us from our competition.

In addition to your writing skills, you will also be responsible for communicating and following up with external client stakeholders to obtain clarification related to assigned pursuit team duties and share key information to support the team's success in winning work.

The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills to lead and coordinate work with others, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. You will also possess excellent time management skills to work on multiple projects and prioritize deliverables effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and prepare proposal responses to RFQs and RFPs
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand company operations and project experience
  • Write professional content in proposal responses to demonstrate company value
  • Communicate with external client stakeholders to obtain clarification and share key information
  • Monitor industry association events and update business development conference calendar
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to update business development opportunity tracker
  • Verify and update contact lists for business development
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of working proposal experience in pursuing projects in the Engineering or Construction industry
  • 5+ years of working experience in an Engineering or Construction Industry Environment
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited post-secondary institution majoring in Electrical, Power, Systems, Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Accreditation is an asset
