Job Summary

Ozark CSCMP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to lead our dynamic operational environment and drive excellence in all aspects of our business.

Main Responsibilities
  • People Management
    • Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent in the organization.
    • Establish and maintain open communication channels with associates, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
    • Foster a culture of inclusivity, respect, and teamwork.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Develop and execute annual financial and operating plans to meet or exceed business objectives.
    • Lead the operation with integrity, ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and company policies.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive safety program to reduce accident and injury frequency.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and company policies.
    • Conduct regular safety observations and provide coaching to associates.
  • Growth and Customer Experience
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and challenge the status quo.
    • Develop and execute strategies to track and record value delivered to customers.
    • Identify and seize profitable business opportunities for the customer and Ozark CSCMP.
  • Fleet and Assets
    • Lead efforts to improve fleet/equipment utilization, maintenance availability, and fuel efficiency.
    • Contribute to equipment specification at time of start-up and renewal.
    • Build strong working relationships with local vendors and stakeholders.
    Qualifications
    • 4-6 years related functional experience.
    • 3+ years managerial or supervisory experience with supervising warehouse associates in distribution center management required.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
    • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required.
    • Ability to connect and build rapport with associates and external customers at all levels.
    • Ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills, with follow-up and follow-through.
    • Ability to manage through problems and think and make decisions independently.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute annual financial operating plans.
    • Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
    • Must demonstrate ownership and responsibility for running the operation with a sense of urgency.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present in front of others, and demonstrate active listening skills.
    • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
    • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and complete a Penske employment application.
