Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee all daily operations of the facility, focusing on processing, packaging, and distribution.
    • Ensure production targets, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met.
    • Implement and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  2. Leadership and Team Management:
    • Direct and manage a team of full-time and part-time staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment that promotes teamwork, safety, and employee development.
    • Address employee concerns and mediate conflicts to maintain a cohesive team.
  3. Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure the facility adheres to all local, provincial, and federal regulations related to cannabis processing and packaging.
    • Develop and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  4. Strategic Planning and Development:
    • Work closely with senior management to develop and implement operational strategies that align with company goals.
    • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
    • Participate in long-term planning to support business growth and scalability.
  5. Quality Assurance and Control:
    • Maintain the highest standards of product quality, ensuring all products meet or exceed regulatory and company standards.
    • Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Continuously review and improve quality control processes.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement and Relations:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, regulatory bodies, and community leaders.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for external partners and address any concerns or inquiries.
    • Represent the company at industry events and community engagements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing, processing, or packaging facility, with at least 2 years in a senior management role.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry within a facility, in a leadership position.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage, develop, and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of cannabis processing and packaging processes.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes, business management, and budgeting.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements of the cannabis industry in [Location].
