About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Penske Transportation Solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Develop and execute annual financial and operating plans to meet or exceed business targets.
    • Lead a culture of safety through personal example and develop, execute, and assess continuous improvement plans to reduce accident and injury frequency.
    • Establish and sustain strong and effective relationships with associates, customers, and supporting departments.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Meet or exceed all customer key performance metrics and objectives.
    • Interact daily with local customers to ensure existing and emerging customer needs are understood.
    • Lead teams to identify operational improvements in areas such as inventory accuracy and warehouse operations.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and execute annual financial and operating plans to meet or exceed business targets.
    • Ensure customer billings and associate payroll are prepared timely and accurately.
    • Identify issues with operating metrics and P&L and make required adjustments in a timely manner.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Lead a culture of safety through personal example.
    • Develop, execute, and assess continuous improvement plans to reduce accident and injury frequency.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures.
  • Growth and Customer Experience
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and challenge the status quo.
    • Execute processes to track and record value delivered to customers.
    • Identify and seize profitable business opportunities for customers and Penske.
  • Fleet and Assets
    • Lead efforts to improve fleet/equipment utilization, maintenance availability, and fuel efficiency.
    • Contribute to equipment specification at time of start-up and renewal.
    • Build strong working relationships with local PTL district and other equipment vendors.
