About the Role

Aecon Nuclear is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Coordinator to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project.

Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as an Mechanical Systems Integration Specialist and play a critical role in the validation phase design, procurement, early site preparation, and site mobilization scope for the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing Comprehensive Work Packages in cooperation with construction and engineering teams.
  • Provide status reports on project milestones and adjust schedules accordingly.
  • Coordinate the preparation and delivery of project deliverables, including design documents, as-built drawings, turnover documents, etc.
  • Ensure construction activities are performed in accordance with written and approved policies, standards, programs, and applicable procedures.
  • Facilitate effective liaison functions between field trades and design engineers for problem resolution and information flow.
  • Forecast and track change orders and scope changes.
  • Coordinate all site procurement activities, including validation of material specifications, preparation of purchase requisitions, material tracking, and ensuring traceability of materials installed in the field.
  • Establish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors, and suppliers supporting the project.
  • Develop and write detailed work plans in cooperation with construction leads.
  • Maintain high standards related to final product quality.
  • Perform regular field tours to check work progress and meet with project site personnel.
  • Carry out site safety inspections.
  • Participate in company-wide initiatives aimed at overall continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in an Engineering Civil discipline, Electrical background preferred.
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience in construction or EPC environment.
  • Ability to review, supervise, and monitor activities performed by Subcontractors.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.
  • Organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task/ Service orientated.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits package.
