About the Role

Westburne, a leading electrical product distributor, is seeking an experienced Automation Sales Specialist to join their team. This dynamic role involves providing technical solutions to customers, facilitating post-sale support programs, and conducting presentations and product updates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Responsibilities:
    • Develop and execute an annual strategic business plan for sales development.
    • Manage an opportunity funnel to achieve sales objectives.
    • Pursue and develop new business opportunities.
    • Lead complex initiatives to provide value to stakeholders.
    • Uncover customer needs to design and implement a Lifecycle Services journey.
    • Support Westburne and Rockwell Automation sales representatives with account planning and execution.
  • Technical Responsibilities:
    • Provide technical solutions to customers as a pre-sale consultant.
    • Facilitate post-sale technical support programs to build customer competency and confidence.
    • Conduct presentations and product updates.
    • Develop domain expertise around Services business and continuously build competency.
    • Attend supplier partner training to maintain specialized product and application knowledge.
  • Marketing Responsibilities:
    • Understand market conditions and competitive forces, analyze market share, and identify growth opportunities.
    • Develop and execute commercial activities as part of an annual strategic business plan.
    • Implement strategies to address competition and expand market penetration using available marketing tools.
    Requirements
    • Education: Electrical/Electronic/Automation Technology diploma or degree from a recognized institution.
    • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years previous experience in automation or technical product sales/support.
    • Desired Skills:
      • Understanding of sales principles such as Strategic selling, Customer Centric Selling, Conceptual Selling, etc.
      • Proactive, engaging, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
      • Time management, organizational, and problem-solving proficiency.
      • Strong written/verbal business communication and presentation skills.
      • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
      • Technical understanding of industrial automation systems and manufacturing business drivers.
