Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

As an Industrial Mechanic and Millwright, your tasks will include:

  • Assembling mechanical equipment and stationary industrial machinery
  • Coaching and mentoring apprentices
  • Identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues
  • Interpreting blueprints and specifications to fulfill work requirements
  • Repairing or replacing faulty machinery components
  • Estimating costs and materials for projects
  • Conducting routine maintenance on machinery
  • Installing new machinery and equipment
Certifications and Licenses

Required certifications include:

  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement
  • First Aid Certification
  • WHMIS Certification

  • Electrical and electronic controls
  • Fans and blowers
  • Gas and air dryers
  • Industrial engines
