Clinical Nurse Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a key role in the assessment, implementation, planning, evaluation, and supportive application of existing and new clinical knowledge to support the translation of knowledge to practice.
The successful candidate will demonstrate competency in practice, program design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation of education, leadership and professional practice. They will also exhibit the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors that align with the Interprofessional Practice and Learning Framework that supports collaborative person-centered care within Nova Scotia Health.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will foster a culture of learning to build capacity and support the advancement of professional practice through the implementation of orientation and ongoing education programs that integrate a learner-centered approach. They will provide advice, consultation, and support to advance practice and to maintain and develop evidence-based standards of care to optimize patient outcomes within the interprofessional care team.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and a minimum of three years of full-time clinical nursing experience within the last five years in General Medicine nursing. The ideal candidate will also have relevant CNA/other specialty certification and BLS-C (HCP) certification. Recent experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator/Nursing Instructor and previous experience in education support, onboarding new staff, and transition to practice are also assets.

HoursThis is a permanent full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly.
