Clinical Nurse Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a key role in assessing, implementing, and evaluating clinical knowledge to support the translation of knowledge to practice. You will demonstrate competency in practice, program design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation of education, leadership and professional practice.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, a Master's in Nursing/Health/Education/Public Health degree (preferred), and an active practicing license in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing. You will have a minimum of three years of full-time clinical nursing experience within the last five years in General Medicine nursing, and relevant CNA/other specialty certification. Recent experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator/Nursing Instructor is preferred, as well as previous experience in education support, onboarding new staff, and transition to practice.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for providing advice, consultation, and support to advance practice, and to maintain and develop evidence-based standards of care, to optimize patient outcomes within the interprofessional care team. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with the Interprofessional Practice and Learning team to create a culture of learning and collaboration.
This is a permanent full-time position, with a salary range of $49.80 - $59.44 hourly, and $97,116 - $115,901 annually. The successful candidate may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
About You- Strong clinical nursing experience in General Medicine nursing
- Relevant CNA/other specialty certification
- Recent experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator/Nursing Instructor
- Previous experience in education support, onboarding new staff, and transition to practice
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Interprofessional Practice and Learning team
