Executive Director, Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director, Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Officer to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in nursing and healthcare administration.
Job Summary:The Executive Director, Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the Chief Operating Officer. They will lead the nursing and allied professions and ensure the development of and adherence to professional ethics and standards of nursing/allied practice throughout the geographic area.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the nursing and allied professions and ensure the development of and adherence to professional ethics and standards of nursing/allied practice.
- Provide strategic and operational support to the Chief Operating Officer.
- Contribute to the overall administration of the hospital through participation in policy setting, planning, budgetary, and quality assurance activities.
- Serve on a variety of hospital committees and may participate in inter-hospital liaison activities.
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible management and leadership experience within nursing and healthcare administration.
- Experience in community health or social services preferred.
- Extensive experience in service delivery and business operations.
- Ability to lead and participate in both short- and long-term planning.
- Experience in human resource management, financial management, and quality improvement required.
- Experience with facilities management is desirable.
- Experience in program planning, development, and evaluation required.
- Recognized course in Health Care Management an asset.
- Evidence of initiative as well as creative problem-solving.
- Ability to work in a complex environment that includes working with the various acute and community departments and programs.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff, management, and professionals in diverse groups and across sectors.
- Ability to actively promote and support integration of services.
- Strong collaborative, interpersonal, and relationship or team-building skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in process improvement methodologies such as LEAN, an asset.
