Job SummaryThe Executive Director, Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the COO. This role will lead the nursing and allied professions, ensuring the development of and adherence to professional ethics and standards of nursing/allied practice throughout the geographic area.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the nursing and allied professions, ensuring the development of and adherence to professional ethics and standards of nursing/allied practice.
- Provide strategic and operational support to the COO, contributing to the overall administration of the hospital through participation in policy setting, planning, budgetary, and quality assurance activities.
- Assume responsibility for the effective and economic administration of the Renal Health, Urgent Care, Family Medicine, Rehab/Geriatrics Programs and other assigned departments or services.
- Contribute to the integration of acute and community programs and services, continually improving the level of patient/client care provided.
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible management and leadership experience within nursing and healthcare administration.
- Experience in community health or social services preferred.
- Extensive experience in service delivery and business operations.
- Ability to lead and participate in both short- and long-term planning.
- Experience in human resource management, financial management, and quality improvement required.
- Recognized course in Health Care Management an asset.
- Experience with facilities management is desirable.
