Executive Director of Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Officer

Job Summary
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Officer to lead our nursing and allied professions. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the COO, ensuring the development of and adherence to professional ethics and standards of nursing/allied practice throughout the geographic area.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the nursing and allied professions, ensuring the development of and adherence to professional ethics and standards of nursing/allied practice.
- Provide strategic and operational support to the COO, contributing to the overall administration of the hospital.
- Assume responsibility for the effective and economic administration of the Renal Health, Urgent Care, Family Medicine, Rehab/Geriatrics Programs and other assigned departments or services.
- Participate in policy setting, planning, budgetary, and quality assurance activities, serving on various hospital committees and inter-hospital liaison activities.
Requirements
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible management and leadership experience within nursing and healthcare administration.
- Experience in community health or social services preferred.
- Extensive experience in service delivery and business operations.
- Ability to lead and participate in both short- and long-term planning.
- Experience in human resource management, financial management, and quality improvement required.
Education and Certification
- Master's degree required. If Masters is in a discipline other than Nursing, Baccalaureate degree in Nursing Required.
- Recognized course in Health Care Management an asset.
Qualifications and Skills
- Sensitivity to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated superior leadership and communication skills.
- Evidence of initiative as well as creative problem-solving.
- Superior interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships.
Working Conditions
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
