Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at our Keskorie Boarding Home Location. This role will lead the effective management of human resources planning and management across the company. The successful candidate will provide strategic HR guidance and support to all divisions.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President, People, your key duties will include:
  1. Participating in company-wide strategic planning and leading HR planning activities.
  2. Directing and coordinating HR planning and management functions.
  3. Monitoring and reporting on HR issues, opportunities, and development plans.
  4. Ensuring staff have the necessary qualifications.
  5. Developing and implementing training and development initiatives.
  6. Ensuring performance evaluations are completed.
  7. Providing advice on HR issues and developing HR policies.
  8. Advising managers on HR-related matters, human rights, and employment standards.
  9. Developing programs to enhance employee satisfaction and commitment.
  10. Maintaining our Employee Return-to-Work Program.
Requirements:
  1. HR education or equivalent is an asset.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  3. Extensive experience in HR planning and management.
  4. Thorough knowledge of federal, territorial, and local HR requirements.
  5. Knowledge of contemporary HR development theory and methods.
  6. Excellent communication and project management skills.
  7. Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases.
  8. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  9. Familiarity with Yellowknives Dene language, culture, and way of life is an asset.
