Business Development Communications Specialist

Det'on Cho Management LP is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Communications Specialist to join our team. In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement effective communication strategies that build brand awareness and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute internal and external communications plans for Det'on Cho Management LP and its subsidiaries, ensuring consistent messaging and presentation across all channels.
- Design and implement digital media strategies to create awareness and engage with key stakeholders, including content creation, uploading, and monitoring for corporate websites and social media platforms.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, including maintaining a current media list and monitoring media coverage and exposure.
- Collaborate with management teams of subsidiaries and joint-venture partners to generate new ideas and strategies and help them achieve their communication goals.
- Analyze market research and trends to inform Det'on Cho Management LP's communications plan and make data-driven recommendations.
- Coordinate and execute events for internal and external stakeholders, including community meetings, employee engagement, open houses, and other one-off events.
- Serve as a backup for communication and media-related issues and respond promptly to ensure seamless operations.
- Represent Det'on Cho Management LP at key industry and community events, including conferences, job fairs, and trade shows.
- Exemplary writing, proof-reading, and editing skills with a proven ability to generate original content.
- Strong verbal communications skills and ability to effectively communicate complex ideas.
- Proficient in MS Office, web analytics, and various social media applications.
- Familiarity with Yellowknives Dene language, culture, and way of life is considered an asset.
Competitive salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
