About the Role

As a key member of the Interdisciplinary Team at Health Careers in Sask, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with addiction and substance abuse. Reporting to the Addictions Counsellor - Degree, your primary objective will be to help restore, maintain, and enhance the recovery of people seeking help for addiction-related issues.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide informative programming as well as individual and group counselling sessions with clients
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and other agencies in the community to deliver holistic support services
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma in Chemical Dependency is required
  • Experience in inpatient services and/or harm reduction settings is essential
  • Strong knowledge of a Holistic Addiction Treatment Model, best practices in addictions, and harm reduction strategies
  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $29,584 to $36,176 per annum, paid bi-weekly, as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. Additionally, we provide a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients.

This part-time temporary position requires a 0.35 FTE commitment, working 39.2 hours per 3 weeks rotation on a days-only schedule. Relief and float are not required in this role. Please note that scheduled hours of work may be reduced during statutory holidays.
