Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Colonial Countertops Ltd. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic tiles on walls and floors, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tile Installation: Install ceramic tiles on walls and floors, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including cleaning, measuring, and marking.
  • Tile Cutting and Fitting: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Tile Alignment and Straightening: Align and straighten tiles to ensure a level and even surface.
  • Quality Control: Inspect tile installations to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to complete tile installations efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile installation.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Odours, dusty, and noisy work site environment.
  • Work Setting: On-site customer service.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and ability to distinguish between colours.
