About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Colonial Countertops Ltd. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic tiles in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Installation
    • Prepare surfaces to be tiled, including measuring, cutting, and marking
    • Install tiles, ensuring proper alignment and spacing
    • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Quality Control
    • Inspect installed tiles for quality and accuracy
    • Make adjustments as needed to ensure a high-quality finish
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work with other team members to complete projects efficiently
    • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure project success
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile setting or a related field
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads
    • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
