Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Demand Planning Specialist to join our team in North America. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate demand plans for our North American market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain demand plans for the North American market, including customer and product-specific forecasts.
  • Collaborate with sales and product management teams to understand account strategy, category focus, and business trends.
  • Work closely with procurement, vendor management, and sales operations to ensure high levels of service to customers while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Establish relationships with key buyers to improve forecast accuracy and service levels.
  • Provide tools and information to enable the business to capture, track, and monitor sales results and trends throughout the demand planning process.
  • Maintain and update the Forecasting tool (SmartSpreadsheet Solutions) on a timely basis, ensuring alignment with margin planning analyst and prices, costs, and discounts.
  • Optimize existing demand planning tools and processes to drive efficiency, leveraging sell-through reports in the forecasting process.
  • Improve forecast accuracy measurement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in administration and 3-5 years of experience in demand planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate figures into business language.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to manage large quantities of data.
  • Very good communication skills and ability to present to an executive group.
  • Highly organized, results-driven individual.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Team player, sense of initiative, and independence.
  • Very good interpersonal skills to smoothly interact at any level of the company.
  • Bilingual (French and English) is mandatory.
  • Hockey industry knowledge a plus.
