About the Position:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Cytogenetics team at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory, you will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests and procedures with accuracy and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and specialized Cytogenetics laboratory procedures, adhering to departmental and divisional policies.
Review, record, and report test results in a timely manner, recognizing abnormal or unusual lab findings and taking appropriate action.
Identify technical or quality process problems and implement corrective actions.
Contribute to quality control, quality assurance, and quality management systems.
Ensure compliance with laboratory accreditation requirements.
Work safely in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must be a Member of CMLTO or eligible for registration in Genetics (Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics). Experience in Cytogenetics is an asset, as well as bilingualism in French/English.

As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a highly competitive total compensation package, including benefits, pension, and vacation time. This Full-Time Regular position offers 8 hours of day shifts in the Cytogenetics Laboratory.
Estimated Salary Range:
$65,000 - $90,000 per year, based on location and experience.
