Job Description

We are seeking a Health and Safety Professional to join our team as an Environmental Advisor. This role will be instrumental in safeguarding our operations' health, safety, and environmental compliance.

About the Role

This position will be responsible for implementing and upholding best practices in HSE protocols, providing crucial health and safety support to our operations teams, and leading the development of a front-line safety program.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement HSE procedures, guidelines, and training programs to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Provide guidance and support to field personnel on hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
  • Collaborate with project managers to integrate HSE requirements into project planning and execution.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in abatement, demolition, and working with hazardous materials would be considered a strong asset.
  • Previous experience in the Mining industry would be considered a strong asset.
  • Working knowledge of safety management systems and safe work practices.
  • Practical knowledge and experience in training and coaching staff.
  • A broad understanding of the HSE regulatory process and principles.
