Job Overview

As a Public Safety Operations Manager, you will lead operations for the City as legislated by City By-laws, Policies, and select Government Statutes and Acts. You will support the Director in the strategic development of efficient and effective public safety goals through the use and deployment of personnel, equipment, and other resources.

You will be responsible for administering the enforcement program, including research, development, and evaluation of policies and programs, operational and capital budgets, and team culture related to enforcement and public safety.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, evaluate, manage, and mentor staff
  • Foster a culture of accountability and excellence in accordance with City policies and collective agreements
Requirements

This position requires a university degree in law, public safety, or a related field. In addition, a minimum of 6 years' experience in law, public safety or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 4 years' progressive experience supervising or managing staff.

We offer a starting salary of $150,583 along with a comprehensive benefits package including a monthly housing allowance and a defined benefit pension plan.
