About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Patient Care Assistant to join our team at Assurance Home Care Inc. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to our clients in their homes.

Job Summary:

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide personal care services, including toileting and transferring
  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to healthcare providers
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and cleaning
  • Transport patients to appointments and engagements
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and services provided

Requirements:

  • Diploma or certificate in patient care or related field
  • Minimum 7 months of experience in patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and transfer patients safely
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
