About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Patient Care Specialist. The successful candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess the necessary skills to provide high-quality medical services in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and home care environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, focusing on mobility assistance and personal care needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
  • Assist in medical procedures, including phlebotomy, pain management, catheterization, and bowel/bladder management.
  • Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in caring for quadriplegic patients.
  • Proficient in catheterization procedures and maintaining urinary catheter care.
  • Skillful in wound care, including pressure sore prevention, dressing changes, and infection control.
  • Knowledge of effective pain management techniques.
  • Ability to work in a home care setting, providing long-term care and adapting to the unique needs of a quadriplegic patient.
  • Expertise in patient transfers, positioning, and mobility assistance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
