Job Description

A Patient Care Specialist will play a vital role in providing personalized support to residents at our Seniors' Health Centre. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, performing personal care tasks, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.

This dynamic role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and an ability to work effectively with elderly individuals. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and contribute to our hospital's mission of delivering world-class care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care services to residents, including bathing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, feeding, and mobility support
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff to ensure optimal care delivery
Requirements:
  • Completed Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from a College of Applied Arts and Technology
  • Long-term care experience preferred
  • Skilled in Point of Care (POC), preferred
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset
What We Offer:

We are offering competitive salaries ranging from $45,000 to $55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as access to employee assistance programs and education opportunities.
