About the Role

As a Casual Education Assistant with the Anglophone South School District, you will play a vital support role in ensuring the success of exceptional students. Under the supervision of a teacher, you will assist with various aspects of student care, education, and well-being.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance in classrooms, libraries, shops, laboratories, and other learning environments.
  • Supervise students, both individually and in groups.
  • Assist teachers with preparation of teaching aids and materials.
  • Tutor students as needed.
  • Maintain records and assist with administrative tasks.
  • Transport students to and from school, as required.
  • Provide personal care, including feeding, hygiene, clothing, and toileting.
  • Care for students with catheters.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A high school diploma supplemented by an approved training course related to the field of work.
  • Experience or demonstrated ability in working with children.
  • The capacity to learn and implement specialized skills as required by the Employer to meet the needs of individual students.
Working Environment

All Anglophone South School District facilities are scent-reduced environments.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $40,000 - $60,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
