Reliable Maintenance Staff Member for St. Thomas' Anglican Church

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled maintenance staff member to join our team at St. Thomas' Anglican Church. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our church premises.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers on a regular basis
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair as needed
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to high standards
  • Work with minimal supervision to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas during winter months
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
  • A strong willingness to learn and take direction
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A physical fitness level that enables you to perform manual labor tasks
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to work on your feet for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and navigate uneven terrain.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is between $40,000 and $55,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including dental plan, disability benefits, health care plan, and vision care benefits.
