Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Development Association of PEI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to lead the Handle with Care program. This is a full-time position that will commence in August 2024 and will be based in Charlottetown, PEI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Handle with Care program and ensure its integrity and mission are maintained.
  • Collaborate with ECDA staff members to achieve program goals and objectives.
  • Collect and analyze program data, facilitator data, and promotional data.
  • Present data in interim and final reports to funders.
  • Develop relationships with community partners and work alongside ECDA staff, Master Trainers, and facilitators.
  • Coordinate facilitator gatherings and facilitator professional development.
  • Maintain facilitator databases and chair the Handle with Care Advisory Committee.
  • Review and approve grant applications and payments to programs, as well as final reports submitted by recipients.
  • Stay up-to-date on child development and the science of resiliency.
  • Co-facilitate four programs per fiscal year.

Requirements:

  • A diploma or degree related to working with children and families.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with children and families.
  • A valid driver's license and a clear criminal record check.
  • Project management experience and Handle with Care facilitation (an asset).

Benefits:

  • Hourly wage range: $30.00 (commensurate with experience and education).
  • Full-time contract with possible 1-year extension.
  • Evening and weekend requirements.
  • Travel reimbursement with a travel stipend.
  • Benefits: health and dental at 100% coverage, professional development coverage, 2 weeks' vacation, 5 personal days, and 10 sick days.
