Job Title: Project Coordinator: Handle with Care

The Early Childhood Development Association of PEI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to lead the Handle with Care program. This is a full-time position that will commence in August 2024 and will be based in Charlottetown, PEI.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the Handle with Care program, working closely with ECDA staff, Master Trainers, and facilitators. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children and families, experience in project management, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the Handle with Care program, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Work closely with ECDA staff, Master Trainers, and facilitators to ensure the successful delivery of the program.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
  • Collect and analyze program data, and present findings in reports to funders.
  • Coordinate facilitator gatherings and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain facilitator databases and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Chair and report to the Handle with Care Advisory Committee.
  • Ensure adherence to firm deadlines and meet deliverables outlined in contractual agreements with funders.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in a related field, such as early childhood education or social work.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with children and families.
  • Valid driver's license and clear criminal record check.
  • Project management experience and knowledge of the Handle with Care program.
What We Offer:
  • Hourly wage range: $22.00 - $30.00, commensurate with experience and education.
  • Full-time contract with possible 1-year extension.
