Job Title: Project Coordinator: Handle with Care

The Early Childhood Development Association of PEI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to lead the Handle with Care program. This is a full-time position that will commence in August 2024 and will be based in Charlottetown, PEI.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the Handle with Care program, working closely with ECDA staff, Master Trainers, and facilitators. This includes collecting and analyzing program data, presenting data to funders, creating an annual program calendar, and developing relationships with community partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze program data, facilitator data, and promotional data
  • Present data in interim and final reports to funders
  • Create an annual Handle with Care program calendar
  • Develop relationships with community partners
  • Work closely with ECDA staff, Master Trainers, and facilitators
  • Coordinate facilitator gatherings and facilitator professional development
  • Maintain facilitator databases
  • Chair and report to the Handle with Care Advisory Committee
  • Adhere to firm deadlines and meet deliverables outlined in contractual agreements with funders
  • Review and approve grant applications and payments to programs
  • Review and approve final reports submitted by recipients
  • Stay up-to-date on child development and science of resiliency
  • Co-facilitate four programs per fiscal year
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in a field related to working with children and families
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children and families
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clear criminal record check
  • Project management experience
  • Handle with Care facilitation experience (an asset)
What We Offer:
  • Hourly wage range: $30.00 (commensurate with experience and education)
  • Full-time position (August 2024 to March 31, 2025, with possible one-year extension)
  • Evening and weekend requirements
  • Travel reimbursement with a travel stipend
