Job Summary

We are seeking a talented QA Automation Engineer to join our team. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our software products. You will be responsible for writing automated tests, maintaining test automation frameworks, and collaborating with developers to identify and resolve defects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write automated tests using Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured, Gatling, or other test frameworks to identify software problems.
  • Maintain test automation framework and scripts for end-to-end tests.
  • Log defects with clear reproduction steps and detail defect artifacts in JIRA.
  • Coordinate and participate in feature requirements review for testability, sign off on test strategy.
  • Work closely with developers to assist in debugging, testing, and development of tools to help identify defects.
  • Available to help troubleshoot critical customer issues, including reproducing issues, analyzing application logs, or clarifying intended feature functionality.
  • Perform automated and manual testing, including regression testing for each release cycle to ensure software meets business and security requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Test Developer or as a Developer.
  • Good understanding of different software testing techniques and when to apply them.
  • Self-starter and quick learner with excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Java, JavaScript, or Scala development skills in testing and debugging software.
  • Proficient in UI automation using Selenium or Playwright.
  • Experience with testing RESTful APIs using Postman or REST Assured.
  • Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools like Gatling.
  • Familiar with continuous integration pipelines such as Jenkins.
  • Deep commitment and passion for maintaining quality.

What We Offer

The base pay range for this position in Canada is $76k - $96k / year + bonus. The compensation offered will be determined by factors such as relevant qualifications, experience, knowledge, and skills. Many of our positions are eligible for additional types of compensation (e.g., commission plans, bonus, etc.) which our Talent Acquisition team will share with you if you interview for the role.
