Job Description

Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer

Experience: 4-6 years

Essential Skills:

  • Provide technical support for hardware and software components, including installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance.
  • Respond to customer requests via phone and email in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain documentation of customer issues and their resolutions.
  • Support customers in system upgrades, installing workstations, and other office tools.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones, and computer and telecommunications equipment.
  • Install and support PC, laptop, tablet, and mobile hardware and software.
  • Create alternative methods of completing tasks, correcting user errors, and system inconsistencies to improve the desktop team function.
  • Participate in hardware and software reviews and recommend better solutions.
  • Maintain inventory of installed software and hardware.
  • Work with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensure that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.
  • Analyze and make recommendations for hardware and software standardization.
  • Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems, including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems.
  • Document procedures, standards, best practices, configurations, settings, installation sequences, and back-out instructions.
  • Provide job trainings to new hires and less experienced staff when needed.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams for resolutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems.
  • Understand company standards and delivery methods of respective tools.
  • Knowledge in the below tools will be considered:

Advantages: ServiceNow, AirWatch, Hardware-related certifications (PC, Laptop repair, etc.), UberAgent. If any certifications completed.
