Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our North American Field Sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and building strong relationships with customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the North American Field Sales Team: Inspire, motivate, and direct the sales team to achieve outstanding results and deliver the required annual revenue targets.
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Understand the market, competitive set, and opportunities available to maximize business growth. Develop and implement sales programs, tactics, and initiatives to drive sales performance.
  • Build and Maintain Customer Relationships: Own key relationships at group level customers to help deliver improved field performance. Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers to drive sales growth.
  • Manage Sales Information and Reporting: Maintain accurate, complete, and timely sales information for business reporting. Analyze the effectiveness of sales programs and recommend changes based on findings.
  • Develop and Implement Distribution Strategies: Develop and implement distribution strategies, reselling agreements, and other growth opportunities to drive sales growth.
  • Develop New Business Accounts and Partnerships: Develop, manage, and nurture new business accounts and partnerships to accomplish profit and volume goals.
  • Investigate and Address Customer Concerns: Investigate and address customer concerns in a professional, productive, and timely manner.
  • Prepare Business Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare accurate business reporting and forecasting to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing: Work with the Marketing department to keep account activities and literature current, accurate, and complete.
  • Contribute to Business Strategy: Contribute to the design of a winning strategy in the segment.
  • Attend Trade Shows: Attend trade shows as necessary to represent the company and build relationships with customers and partners.

Requirements:

  • 4-8 years of direct work experience in leading a high-performing sales team.
  • Experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, coach, lead, and direct sales teams.
  • Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
  • Strong business acumen, with a focus on cost analysis, fiscal management, and budgeting techniques.
  • Related post-secondary education, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings, exhibits, and other events.
  • Experience coaching and working in SFDC.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office software packages.
  • Valid driver's license and passport.
