Job Summary

The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for leading the sales department and developing strategic plans to drive revenue growth and increase market share. This role requires a strong understanding of the hotel industry and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and increase market share
  • Lead the sales team to achieve sales objectives and drive revenue growth
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry leaders
  • Develop and manage the sales budget to ensure effective use of resources
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing and revenue management, to develop and implement integrated sales and marketing strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the sales team is equipped with the latest knowledge and skills
Requirements
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area
  • OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area
  • Preferred: 4 year college degree
  • Demonstrated skills in supervising a team
  • Lodging sales experience
  • Hotel industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance
