Healthcare System Director for Access and Patient Flow Optimization

**About the Role**
Finding the right balance between access to quality healthcare services and efficient patient flow is a critical challenge in our fast-paced healthcare system. As an experienced Healthcare System Director, you will play a vital role in optimizing our access and patient flow systems to ensure seamless care delivery.
**Key Responsibilities**
As the ideal candidate, you will lead strategic planning, integration, and implementation of short- and long-term capacity goals that support access and flow within our health system. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures that promote effective patient flow and optimize access to quality care;
- Liaising with external organizations, such as provincial Health Authorities, BC Emergency Health Services, and transportation organizations, to ensure optimal service support across Fraser Health;
- Collaborating with site leadership to coordinate and integrate initiatives and changes to increase clinical capacity at various sites across Fraser Health;
- Overseeing and monitoring system-wide patient access and utilization reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize resource allocation;
- Representing Fraser Health in mediating flow-related activities across the internal system, BC Health Authorities, and inter-provincially.
**Requirements**
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A university degree, at the master's level, in a field related to healthcare management;
- 10-15 years of progressively senior management experience in large healthcare organizations;
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to incorporate program/site needs within the broader context of the health delivery system and multiple program developments;
- Proven written and verbal communication and presentation skills within a senior leadership capacity;
- A sound working knowledge of planning concepts related to service delivery, budgetary, staffing, quality, and strategic initiatives.
