We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed educational leaders to join our initiative as Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE). This position comes with additional vacation pay and benefits, including sick days, if the term starts by March 28, 2025.
Under the direction of the Principal, the RECE works collaboratively with the classroom teacher to provide high-quality play-based education to support enhanced learning and cognitive, emotional, and social development for Junior and Senior Kindergarten students in a full-day Early Learning Program.
The RECE will lead an extended program - before and/or after-school - for OCDSB students at designated elementary schools, working closely with the teacher in daily classroom activities with students. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing effective and engaging early childhood education to students
- Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement curriculum
- Ledding extended programs for students before and/or after school
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A two-year community college program in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
- Registration and good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators
- A minimum of one year of child care experience
- Valid First Aid certification/CPR
- Immunization Record with proof of MMR and Tdap immunizations
- Police Records Check for the Vulnerable Sector Check done within the last 6 months
