Job Summary:

The Jordan's Principle Case Manager will take the lead in carrying out the mandate of the Jordan's Principle Program. This position is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the daily management and administration of individual and group claims for members of the M'Chigeeng First Nation.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Program Supervisor to develop annual service and financial plans that ensure the needs of children, youth, and families are being met.
  2. Develop, review, and evaluate approved individual and group claims to ensure that the needs of children, youth, and families are being addressed.
  3. Monitor individual and group claims to ensure that financial plans are in line with approved claims.
  4. Coordinate and plan wrap-around services with external agencies to support individual claims.
  5. Identify professional development and training needs of case managers and co-develop training plans.
  6. Collaborate with community resources and partners to create a coordinated comprehensive community plan.
  7. Assist in community events and participate in interdepartmental strategic planning activities.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma in social services or related field with 2 years of direct work experience in child welfare or social services.
  • Working knowledge of community resources and development.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Ontario Child and Youth Family Services Act and other relevant regulatory requirements.
