We are seeking an experienced Administrative Secretary to join our team at the Children's & Women's Health Center in Vancouver, BC. As an Administrative Secretary, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our department, providing exceptional support to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate records in our database.
- Provide exceptional customer service, receiving and directing patients, answering phone calls, and taking messages.
- Draft documents, arrange meetings, and maintain calendars and records.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and reports, and arrange for courier services as needed.
- Maintain office and medical supply inventory, processing requisitions and ensuring accurate coding and authorization for payment.
- Prepare and submit expense claims, maintaining a bring-forward system for all billings and invoices.
- Input and extract information from our database to establish, maintain, and store financial data.
- Grade 12 and two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Keyboard skills of at least 45 wpm and the ability to organize work and deal with others effectively.
- Operate related equipment and possess a strong commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
