Job Summary

This leadership position at McKesson Specialty Health Services is pivotal in driving growth by leading high-performing sales and account management teams. The successful candidate will develop and execute sales strategies, forecast outcomes, and align internal teams to meet ambitious targets and key performance indicators.

  • The role involves shaping sales strategies, setting annual targets, and collaborating with senior management to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Providing leadership and direction to the sales team, ensuring high standards of performance are achieved and recognized.
  • Collaborating with other senior leaders to foster a common understanding of current sales initiatives and actively seeking feedback to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Regularly reporting ongoing sales activity and operating results to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy Development: Developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market presence.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Providing leadership and direction to the sales team to achieve high-performance standards.
  • Collaboration and Feedback: Collaborating with senior leaders and actively seeking feedback to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Reporting and Communication: Regularly reporting sales activity and operating results to senior management.
  • New Business Development: Guiding the development of convincing proposals and presentations to secure new business.
  • Presentation and Negotiation: Leading the team through capability presentations, RFPs, and negotiations to complete the sales cycle.
  • Prospecting and Intelligence Gathering: Engaging in prospecting activities and gathering competitive intelligence to inform sales strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven Sales Experience: Over 15 years of success in sales or marketing, consistently achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Leadership Excellence: Demonstrated experience in leading high-performing teams to deliver strategic sales and account strategies.
  • Communication and Executive Presence: Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken, with impeccable proficiency in English.
  • Writing and Presentation Skills: Excellent writing and presentation skills to develop and deliver high-quality presentations.
  • Strategic Relationship Building: Professional relationship builder with demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts.
