About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Field Content Evaluator to support our Property Claims department in helping customers recover from losses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and appraise damaged or lost residential and commercial office contents
  • Provide quality service, ensuring prompt and equitable settlement of content losses
  • Review schedules of loss, ensuring completeness of documentation and accurate pricing of replacement costs
  • Conduct pricing comparisons using web-based resources to determine replacement costs
  • Identify suitable vendors for replacement of items of like kind and quality
  • Determine actual cash value of items by applying depreciation to reflect use and age
  • Maintain effective communication channels with vendors and internal claims staff
  • Collaborate with adjusters and customers on file management and settlement of content claims
Requirements
  • Prior claims experience is an asset
  • Prior experience using Exclaim software is an asset
  • University degree or relevant training and experience
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent investigation and researching abilities
  • Adaptable and agile in a rapidly evolving business environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
  • Forward-thinking and able to foster new ideas
  • Agile work ethic, takes initiative, and exercises independent thinking
  • Superior organizational skills, results-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to learn and quickly adapt to new and changing technology
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to travel on short notice
